Netscape was syonymous with the internet in the 1990s, as the web we know today was just getting started. It was one of the first mass distributed web browsers out there, and its chief employee was the same person who had built the Mosaic web browser, that predated even Netscape! Running Netscape Navigator was an exciting new frontier for applications, one that could transport you anywhere on the world wide web, read anything you could find out there, and even use fairly decent web applications even in the early days. Netscape eventually got into a tussle with Microsoft and the rest is, literally, history.
So this is the logo, plus text that we added, to make it look like a bottle that may have been around in the 1990s. It's not one of those bottles, it's newly designed, and honors this important Classic Web Browser.
